Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has tipped Mohammed Salah of Liverpool, to end the Ballon d’Or duopoly he enjoys with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Salah enjoyed a stunning debut campaign at Anfield, scoring 44 times in all competitions.
However, his season ended on a bad note, after he suffered a shoulder dislocation in the Champions League final defeat to Ronaldo’s Real Madrid.
The Egyptian star is, however, expected to be fit, to feature for his country at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
“Mo Salah has been one of the revelations of the year,” Ronaldo said.
“I hope his injury in the final in Kiev doesn’t keep him out.
“Many people talk about the Cristiano Ronaldo-Messi battle but there are other players who have chances to enter the race (for Ballon d’Or). The Egyptian is one of them.”
