R&B singer R. Kelly has lost some key members of his team – his lawyer, publicist and assistant while controversies surrounding him persists.
The embattled singer has been in the news for negative reasons recently, this can also be said to be among the reasons R. Kelly’s staffs resigned their positions with him.
According to the BBC, Diana Copeland, who served as Kelly’s executive assistant for over a decade, has resigned, while entertainment attorney Linda Mensch quit in February, although she insists their split had nothing to do with the 51-year-old’s personal life. Meanwhile, his publicist, Trevian Kutti, has confirmed to Rolling Stone that he no longer represents Kelly.
R. Kelly is too busy to comment on the reports of his staffs who allegedly resigned from his camp. Theblast reports that the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ singer is focused on mounting a chart comeback and has been “furiously” working on new music in Chicago, Illinois in the hopes of restoring his professional reputation.
R. Kelly was recently sued by a woman who claims he intentionally infected her with sexually transmitted diseases (STD) following her relationship with him when she was 19 years old.
The woman’s allegations were however dismissed by the singer’s spokesperson on Friday, April 20.
