Days after Davido’s ’30 Billion’ concert in Cameroon, the Afro-fusion artiste reaches out to his fans in the country in a subtle diss.
The ‘FIA’ crooner, on social media, noted that despite the beauty of Cameroonian songs, he knows just Stanley Enow and footballer Samuel Eto’o alone. He however advised Cameroonians to put their country on the map.
“People wey I know for Cameroon na Eto’o and Stanley,” Davido said in Pidgeon English. Adding that “I don’t know the rest,” after laughing out loud with his crew members.
He said further that “you all need to change that, put Cameroon on the map, every artiste in Cameroon should be worldwide because your music is beautiful.” He then tell the citizens of Cameroon to support their music because it is very important to start at home first.
Davido has since been receiving different comments from fans, some felt offended by his comments while some queued behind him to show their support.
