Nigerian superstar singer, Paul Okoye of the defunct P-square group, took to Instagram to share a conversation he had with an Emir Sanusi Lamido impersonator, who in his chat claimed he is the former CBN Governor.
Excited Paul Okoye who shared his phone number with the conman, however busted his fraud scheme after he spoke with him on the phone, telling him to send 5 million naira to a friend as he was having issues with his online banking. According to Paul Okoye, the conman’s voice gave him away.
Here’s what he wrote;

Just yesterday, it was reported that the Kano State Police command arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly impersonating the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II online. Report has it that the young man who is very active on social media pretended to be the Kano monarch on Instagram with 262,000 followers.
The young man was eventually arrested after months of manhunt. He is currently helping the police with investigation.
