Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson And Director Brad Peyton to return in ‘San Andreas’ sequel
New Line Cinema has greenlit a sequel to last year’s huge global hit San Andreas, with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and director Brad Peyton to return for a new disaster rescue.
San Andreas which revolved around a helicopter pilot, played by Johnson, who had to battle against an earthquake, a deal with some shaky family issues at home, grossed $473 million in box office around the world.
Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario and Paul Giamatti are also expected to return in the sequel.
The Hollywood Reporter says the new sequel, which is written by Neil Widener and Gavin James, may be focusing on the infamous Ring of Fire in the Pacific Ocean, with fault lines and volcanoes which is apparently home to about 90 percent of the world’s earthquakes.
