Country crooner Taylor Swift revealed that she recently injured her tooth when bringing her “Red” tour to Pittsburgh,
The 23-year- old star told Rolling Stone that she was performing “I Knew You Were Trouble” when the mic smacked her
mouth and cracked her tooth.
“I try to be really quick with the microphone, so I’m not standing there just
waiting to sing with my mic right next to my face,” Swift explained how the incident happened. “So I really quickly pulled my mic up to sing and basically uppercut punched myself in the tooth.” “Part of it fell onto the stage and I was like, ‘Oh, I wonder how bad that was. I wonder which tooth that is…,’ ” Swift continued.
She admitted that she didn’t rush to her dentist to get her tooth fixed. “I’m not doing anything about it. It’s just gonna be a little bit jagged, I guess,” she added.
Swift also talked about her tour opening acts, Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone. Swift explained that she hung out with Sheeran and Mahone a lot to “make them feel like they’re part of a family, not just a tour.”
“For me, it was the coolest feeling in the world when I realized Austin, Ed and I had all gotten nominated for VMAs. I’m so proud of them,” she gushed.
