The intra-communal clash which took place in Bayeku area of Ikorodu, Wednesday, has entered the second day , with no fewer than 10 buildings razed while two more corpses were discovered, bringing the death toll to five.
The incident which began midnight on Bayeku road escalated to the inward parts of the town as the hoodlums were said to have defied the presence of law enforcement agents who mount surveillance in the area.
Some of the burnt buildings include that of the Baale of Bayeku.
The incident paralysed commercial activities in the area as schools recorded low attendance while shops and offices remained closed.
Many residents including the Baale of Bayeku have fled the community.
When Vanguard visited the scene, yesterday, some hoodlums were seen discussing in groups although some of them threatened fire and brimstone. Also, Policemen were on ground to maintain order.
