Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has mocked LaLiga league leaders, Barcelona after winning the FIFA Club World Cup, stating that the Catalan club needs to give his team a guard of honour before the El Clasico clash at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Ronaldo’s second-half free-kick ensured Madrid picked up a fifth trophy of 2017 by beating Gremio 1-0 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday to retain the Club World Cup.
“It would be nice and I would like Barcelona to give us a guard of honour,” the Portuguse said in the mixed zone to reporters after the match.
“I hope we win that game too so that the league is still alive for Real Madrid.
“We have to enjoy every moment because we don’t know what will happen in the future.
“I’m happy I scored the goal, very happy,” Ronaldo said.
