Barcelona have reacted to a story earlier today that Atletico Madrid are set to report to club to FIFA over alleged approach for forward Antoine Griezmann.
Atletico are claiming Barca have made contact with people close to the 26-year-old France international.
And a FIFA spokesman said: “We can confirm that we have received a complaint from Atletico de Madrid.
“Barcelona have not negotiated with any player, so we understand that no irregularity has been committed,” said a club spokesman to MARCA.
Griezmann’s future at the Wanda Metropolitano remains uncertain with Manchester United also believed to still be interested in the striker.
And Atletico boss Diego Simeone said last week that he will not stand in the player’s way should he wish to leave.
Of course he can leave at some point, like Diego Costa and Arda Turan did in their day,” Simeone told L’Equipe.
“I love watching my players grow, and if one of them tells me that they have the unique opportunity of playing for a certain team, after they did everything they could for me, like Griezmann has done, I’ll say it’s not a problem.
“I know that he needs to grow.”
