Justin Gatlin has beaten world record holder Usain Bolt in the men’s 100m at the world athletics championships in London.
Bolt finished third behind Gatlin’s fellow American Christian Coleman.
Gatlin won in 9.92 seconds, with Bolt clocking a season’s best of 9.95 seconds.
When the results were confirmed, Gatlin – who has twice served lengthy bans after testing positive for banned substances – was booed loudly by the crowd.
Great Britain’s Reece Prescod finished in 10.17 seconds.
Bolt is likely to make his final track appearance on Saturday, August 12, in the men’s 4x100m relay final.
