Remanded entertainment producer, Seun Egbegbe, would remain behind bars at the Ikoyi prisons, Lagos, till at least June 12 when his iPhones theft case will be heard.
Seun had hoped that he could perhaps regain his freedom on April 12, when Magistrate Aje Afunwa, of Ikeja Magistrate Court, Lagos, but the court didn’t sit. This is because the Magistrate was on another official assignment, prompting all cases to be shifted to later dates.
Egbegbe’s case has now been rescheduled for Monday, June 12, 2017 and he will remain in prison till that date when he will be produced in court for the case.
He would have spent four months in prison by June 12 after his arrest and detention since Thursday, February 2, 2017 for allegedly attempting to defraud a couple of Bureau de Change operators.
