The Nigeria Prison Services (NPS) has carried out a major redeployment of some senior officers across the formations. The NPS Public Relations Officer, DCP Francis Enobore, said the Controller General of Prisons, Dr. Peter Ekpendu, has approved the posting of ACG MD Nata’Alah, as the new Commandant of the Prisons Staff College, Barnawa Kaduna.
Nata’Alah takes over from ACG NW Gwali, has been sent to the National Headquarters, Abuja to take charge of the Directorate of Finance and Account as Deputy Controller-General covering duties, while UA Saraki, who has been covering the Directorate as a DCG has proceeded on retirement.
The posting instruction also has ACG AA Ashafa, Zone G Coordinator taking over as ACG Welfare at the National Headquarters, Abuja from A A Falke, who proceeds on retirement.
CP NC Aham-Neze(Dr) is to cover duties as ACG Medical following the retirement of ACG Dr. E Udom.
Others poating include: CP Sanusi Kunle from zone D Minna to Zone G Benin City as Zonal coordinator; CP JE Ntia, National Headquarters, Abuja to Zonal Headquarters Owerri; CP Uche Nwobi, Zonal Headquarters Owerri to National Headquarters, Abuja as CP Promotion. CP VI Ubi, SHQs Lagos to National Headquarters, Abuja as CP Custody; CP Pat Omene, Zonal Headquarters Benin City to National Headquarters, Abuja as CP Training and Staff Development. She takes over from CP Amaechi Uzoigwe who proceeds on retirement. CP Olumide Tinuoye, Zonal Headquarters Ibadan to SHQs Lagos as State Controller.
“Dr. Ekpendu thanked the retiring officers for their show of commitment and sacrifices to the service of their father land even as he wished them happy retirement life. He charged other officers taking over new responsibilities to ensure that the wind of positive change sweeping across the country is reflected in their duties by upholding integrity and patriotism in service delivery particularly in engaging inmates’ management issues.”
