Johnny Depp has signed on to star in The Invisible Man, Universal Studio’s latest offering being developed by producers Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan.
The new project is based on the HG Wells novel that was famously adapted into the 1933 black-and-white classic starring Claude Rains.
While Ed Solomon, best known for writing Men in Black and Now You See Me, there is no director attached at this stage.
By nabbing Depp, surely we know Universal is about to hit us with another big cinema story.
