After strong reports three days back that Chelsea and Antonio Conte, we had ‘very positive’ negotiations between the two sides in London, with rumors claiming that a signature (if not an actual announcement) was due within 10 days, it seems the London side are taking things much further.
The latest set of reports has it that Roman Abramovich himself and at least the brother of Antonio Conte,b, who is the coach’s representative, though others claim Antonio will be having a meeting pretty soon.
Both Abramovich and Conte’s brother and representative, Daniele, are expected to gather in Monaco over the next two or three days in order to hash out the details of the deal. The ex-Juve boss is expected to sign a three-year contract worth €6.5 million per season.

Gazzetta also claim that the Italian football federation have started looking for Conte’s replacement as well, with ex-players Roberto Donadoni (currently doing great work with Bologna) and Fabio Cannavaro (currently doing a whole lot of nothing) the two favorites.
