A Kenyan woman, Fatima Ibrahim, has been stabbed on the cheek with a knife by her husband, Mohammed Deeq in Khorof Harar, Kenya.
According to reports, the mother of four had a minor disagreement with her husband and in a fit of rage, he stabbed her on the right side of her cheek, close to her ear.
The attacker’s brother reported the matter to the police, who immediately swung into action by arresting Deeq and he is scheduled to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the woman, who was initially taken to the Wajir General Hospital, has now been scheduled to be airlifted to the Kenyan capital of Nairobi after doctors at the general hospital were unable to remove the knife as it was lodged deep into her cheek bone.
Fatima would undergo surgery at the Kenyatta National Hospital in the country’s capital where it is expected that doctors would find a safe way to remove the knife without causing any permanent damage.
