In the spirit of the season of Eid-el-Maulud and Christmas, wife of the president, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, paid a one day visit to Maiduguri, Borno State, where she donated relief materials to the Dalori camp of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
While making the donation yesterday at the camp, Mrs. Aisha Buhari called on philanthropists to assist IDPs to enable them return to their homes, which was destroyed during Boko Haram attacks.
Aisha Buhari also used the occasion to inaugurate a committee to be headed by wife of the Borno State governor, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima.
The committee is saddled with the responsibility of distributing relief items to IDPs.
Noting that Nigeria is fast winning the war against terrorism, the wife of the president called for prayers from all religious leaders.
Mrs. Aisha Buhari during the visit, also assured that the federal government would certainly help in rebuilding all the destroyed towns and villages in the state.
