Alh. Galadima, who was also the ACPN presidential candidate in the March 28 presidential election, was reported to have been kidnapped by gunmen after Obajana in Osaro of Kogi State while en route Ilorin, the Kwara State to attend the burial of one of his elder brothers.
News of his kidnap was confirmed by the National Chairman of Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, Chief Ojonugwa Ameh.
Ameh, who doubles as Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, in a text message to VANGUARD, said “My colleague, the National chairman and former presidential candidate of ACPN, in 2015 general election, Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima, has been kidnapped”.
“He was kidnapped today in Osaro in Kogi State on his way from Abuja to attend the burial ceremony of one his elder brothers in Ilorin”, the PPA chairman added.
Mr. Ameh further disclosed that information at his disposal pointed to the fact that Mr. Galadima’s abductors have made initial contact with their victim’s family and “they are demanding for N40 million ransom”.
