Why Akon May Lose His Mansion

Popular Senegalese singer Akon may lose his mansion in Georgia if he fails to reach a peaceful agreement with contractors working on it.

Akon’s Georgia mansion is becoming a big problem for him as yet another contractor is claiming he didn’t get paid for working on the superstar entrepreneur, producer and singer’s floors.

Capital Floors, a contractor that worked on Akon’s Georgia mansion, has filed a $15,000 lien against the troublesome home, which is small compared to the $36,765 filed by a different company back in January.

This contractor, however, said he did get paid a little along the way and the $15k represents the unpaid balance. He adds still that a lawsuit for another $50k in damages may be in the offing.

Meanwhile, Akon who is hoping to provide electric power for over 600 million Africans with his ‘Akon Lighting Africa’ project is yet to respond to the contractor’s claims.
