Caregivers at the rehab centre say the Nigerian reggae icon is responding to treatment.
Nigerian Reggae legend, Majek Fashek is now in rehab after years of drug abuse and alcohol.
The ‘Rain Maker’ as he is fondly called by his fans in recognition of his evergreen song ‘Send Down The Rain’, is presently at the intensive care unit of an undisclosed rehabilitation centre in Abuja.
According to caregivers of the centre, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, Majek is responding to therapy.
The claim that he is responding to treatment corroborates recent photos of the musician seen recently somewhere around Suleja, on the outskirts of Abuja, as his appearance was different from the disheveled and unkempt image he has come to be associated with over the last few years.
