A meeting was held to try to resolve the current crisis rocking Nigerian football, the board of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) rose after about eight hours without reaching any consensus.
Alhaji Maigari, who was ousted a few weeks ago at the behest of a Jos High Court ruling, was only re-instated
as President a few days ago after the case against him was withdrawn, which was the requirements of FIFA to avoid a ban.
However, it was learnt that the meeting, which was held amidst tight security at the NFF secretariat and presided over by the embattled chairman, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, agreed to meet again next week to try to reach an amicable solution to the crisis.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, the head of the media committee of the NFF, Emeka Inyama, said: “We are here to interact with one another, We really cannot call this a meeting but an interactive session, but the board will meet again next week Thursday.”
He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan and the Sports Minister, Tamuno Danagogo, for their intervention.
