The death toll from Israel’s air attack on the Gaza Strip is continuing to rise.
Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip killed 22 people today, bringing the total number of Palestinians dead to 127 on the fifth day of violence.
In the latest strike, six men were killed in the Sheikh Radwan district of western Gaza City, health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said.
Local officials said the day’s raids across the coastal enclave hit targets that included a bank, two mosques and homes of Hamas officials.
Israel’s military believes at least one of the mosques was being used to store weapons.
Israel says it wants to put an end to Hamas firing rockets at its citizens.
No Israelis have been killed although eight were seriously injured when a rocket hit a petrol station in Ashdod.
Gaza mourns its dead as Israel cranks up its military build up as they prepare to set out for all possibilities.
UN chief calls for ceasefire as Gaza conflict continues.
However, Palestinian authorities are also preparing to repel a potential Israeli ground assault.
