Super Eagles gaffer Stephen okechukwu Keshi has debunked reports making the rounds that he has resigned his position as the head coach of the super eagles of Nigeria.
Stephen Keshi who is the only person to have won the trophy both as a coach and player reviewed he has not quit his position as the AFCON coach of sofe.
“He continued saying I have a contract with the Nigeria Football Federation which expires after our performance at the World Cup, so I ran out of contract.”
“The NFF are yet to open a negotiation to renew my contract,” Keshi said as the team get set to jet out of Brazil.
Nigeria lost 2-0 to France in the second round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil 2014 immediately, reports started flying about Keshi’s resignation which he has now denied.
South Africa are reported to be interested in the services of Keshi, but the decision is left for the NFF to keep Keshi who is now the only Nigerian coach to take the Super Eagles to the World Cup Round of 16.
