Cesc Fabregas – I Joined Chelsea To Win The Champions League And End My European Heartache
Chelsea’s new signing and Spanish international, Cesc Fabregas has disclosed the main reason why he joined Chelsea is to end his Champions League heartbreak.
The Spain midfielder won four trophies in three years at the Camp Nou but Europe’s premier club trophy still eludes, Cesc who was part of the Arsenal team that lost to Barcelona in the 2006 Final.
With Barcelona, he reached two Champions League semi-finals but they lost both, including against Chelsea in 2012 when the London club went on to win the trophy.
“I can’t deny the Champions League is one of the things I really want to win because it is the only thing missing in my career,” said Fabregas.
“I moved to Barcelona and for three years we won everything except the Champions League”.
“I have already seen a lot of passion, commitment and discipline. All the players have quality and I see the coach doesn’t allow anyone to become easy, to become lazy and I really like that.” and that’s another reason why i joined. Fabregas concluded
