A number of Jewish suspects have been arrested over the murder of Palestinian teenager, Mohammad Abu Khdair, whose death sparked days of violent protests in Jerusalem and in Israeli Arab towns.
Khdair, who was abducted in East of Jerusalem with first post-mortem examination findings suggesting he was burnt alive.
The Violence then broken out in East Jerusalem as protesters clash with police following the murder of the teenager whose death is a suspected revenge attack for the death of three other Israeli schoolboys who were murdered initially.
Officers discovered the charred and beaten body of the young Palestinian in woodland yesterday mourning, following reports of a person being forced into a car outside a supermarket near Shuafat, east Jerusalem.
Mohammed Abu Khdair, 17, was forced into a vehicle outside a supermarket in the Shuafat section of Jerusalem in the eastern part of the city.
The grim discovery and abduction pof the boy came just hours after angry protests broke out over the murder of the three Jewish teens in the West Bank, during which some reportedly shouted ‘death to the Arabs’.
Officers are however still investigating a possible connection between the murder and the reported kidnapping of Mohammed Abu Khdair in East Jerusalem, a police spokesman said.
A security source speaking on condition of anonymity said, Mohammed Abu Khdair had been kidnapped and killed, possibly in retribution for the killings of the Israeli teens.
